Coquihalla Swing
A continuous, synchronized two-zone flow drill run on both sides of the ice at the same time.
Execution:
• Breakout and first pass: purple shoots a puck, then picks up another puck from the corner.
• Neutral zone exchange: timed with the play, yellow cuts across near the top of the circle and opens up to receive a pass from purple. Yellow then quickly feeds a pass into open ice (the "quiet zone") toward white, who drives hard to the net for a shot on goal.
• Rotation: after the shot, the player retrieves a puck from the corner, moves to the middle to pass and start the next sequence, then moves into the next line position as part of a continuous flow.
Coaching points:
• Follow your pass and join the line of the group you passed to.
• Lines may need to adjust their timing if the other line bobbles the puck.
